A new study shows a link between marijuana use and manic and depressive symptoms in those suffering from bipolar disorder. Researchers in the U.K. found that up to 60 percent of people with bipolar disorder had used cannabis at some point in their lives, and while for some people marijuana caused an increase in positive mood, it also increased manic symptoms, and in others, depressive symptoms.
